Live Lightly Now! - Practical ideas to help you live a lighter life!
About The Author

My name is Tracey Walker, and I am a stay at home Mum!

I live in Ellenbrook, in Western Australia, with my wonderful husband Stephen, and my beautiful boys Ryan (7) and Lucas (5).

By setting up this website, writing this e-book and implementing local cooking classes, I am hoping to give you some really simple, practical, easy to implement ideas that will hopefully make your life easier, fitter and healthier!

Everything I have learned I have learned from experience, and an almost unquenchable thirst for knowledge on my chosen topics.

For the last 15 years or so I have been on a steep learning curve. I have totally changed my life and lifestyle around to incorporate a chemical free existance (or at least a very low toxic one), and a return to the slow food movement!

I have had children, which forced me to delve deeply into the world of natural pregnancy and birthing methods, and as a result of being a mother I have become more urgently concerned about the wellbeing of our planet.

This in turn has lead to my growing obsession with feeding my family good wholesome food and not wanting to rape and pillage the planet in order to do so.

I am a huge proponent of organic gardening, water conservation and of course conserving energy, and as a result have spent many further years studying all sorts of books, TV programs and websites with respect to these things.

My two biggest passions in life are my family (and friends are family you choose for yourself!) and food!  As a result, I am also a bona fide foodaholic, and love everything about food from the growing of it, to the harvesting, to the preparation, and of course, the consumption!

Hopefully this gives you an insight into the type of person I am, and the type of life I lead.  I hope you enjoy meandering through my website, and I hope that if you buy my book, you will thoroughly enjoy reading it as much as I have loved writing it!

This is a photo of me doing the thing I love most, cooking!  I did a course in Tuscany, 5 hours, way too short!
