LIVE LIGHTLY WEIGHT MANAGEMENT COURSE - 9 WEEKS.
After the success of the 12 Week Lifestyle Makeover people were asking if I would do just the weight management portion of the online course so of course I obliged.
The difference with this weight management course though is that there will be no embarrassing and time consuming weigh ins (I don't care what you weigh and neither should anyone else), no calorie controlled diets, no portion control, point scoring or horrible low fat bland diet foods to purchase or consume.
There are no tricks, no upselling or gimmicks, just good old fashioned advice on food, exercise and weight management. I call it weight management instead of weight loss as it is all about unlearning bad habits and incorporating good healthy habits which will support your stable weight for the rest of your life. Sound too good to be true?
This way of living works and is suitable for the whole family.
It is based on an online private Facebook group for daily support and backed up with weekly meetings for those who either can't do it online or who love that whole group meeting atmosphere.
After the course you are not sent out into the wilderness by yourself either, you can join in the private Facebook group where the graduates of all of the other online courses go if they are interested. Here people keep supporting each other and posting relevant health and diet related topics.
Week 1
- Introduction to the Slow Carb Way of
Living!
The first week we take stock of our lives, where we are,
where we want to be and how to get there. We take measurements (if you
want!), and I introduce you to a great way of eating that can give you healthy
and sustainable weight loss. I will explain the "Slow Carb"
diet this week and get you started. (We do NOT meet at the Grapevine for this week!).
Week 2
– First Group Meeting!
From now until the end of the course we meet at the
Grapevine Community Centre at 7.30pm – 8.30pm to discuss the previous week’s
happenings and the next week’s goals.
This week we clarify some of the finer points of the Slow Carb diet.
Week 3
- Exercise!
What it is, why we need it (the real reasons, not just so
we can fit into our jeans!) and how to pick one you like and stick to it! As
well as the types you probably don't do now, but need to! I will also aim
to have a few of our local exercise experts pop in for a visit and talk to you
about their particular form of exercise and the benefits as they see them.
Week 4 – General
Discussion!
This week is just a general discussion week, either
clarifying further the Slow Carb diet and perhaps clearing up some exercise
issues. If we couldn’t get all of the
fitness gurus in last week, they can come in this week to chat to you.
Week 5 –
Food!
What it is, how it has changed, how do those changes
affect you and how can you change those changes! Never go on a crash diet
again after reading this!
Week 6
– The “Low Fat” Farce!
We take a close look at everything in our cupboards, pantry
and fridge this week, and look at nutrition panels and labels. How to
read them, what to look for, and what to buy from now on. You will learn
how the diet industry is actually PREVENTING you from losing weight &
keeping it off.
Week 7
– General Discussion!
I usually find that people need a good couple of weeks
for the whole “food” discussion to sink in and make sense. This week we discuss and clarify any further
issues you may have with your new “food path”.
Week 8
- Recipe Makeovers!
We take our favourite recipes (I'll have members post
them the week prior) and up-health them! You don't have to give up your
favourites! Also chock full of tips on getting the most quality and nutrition
from your food.
Week 9
- It's a Wrap!
We revise the previous 8 weeks, highlighting all of
the most important points, adding a few last minute tips, consolidating our
thoughts and actions and perhaps getting a little bit emotional as we say
goodbye to each other! You can also
nominate whether you wish to attend the online follow up groups I have set up
for continued support and knowledge sharing.
Course starts on the 15 September, $90 per
person. This is an online course run in
conjunction with weekly meetings for those who enjoy the group style
setup. Can be completed online only or
as meetings only if desired.
